ABOUT GIVE 5 MISSOURI
Give 5 Missouri brings the proven Give 5 model to communities across the state, empowering older adults to engage, volunteer, and make a lasting difference where they live.
From Springfield Roots to Statewide Impact.
Give 5 began in Springfield, Missouri, as a simple idea with a powerful goal: connect retirees who are ready for purpose with nonprofits who need their time and talent.
What started as a local initiative quickly grew into a model for civic engagement replicated across the state—and beyond.
Today, thanks to support from the State of Missouri, the Missouri Department of Health & Human Services and Missouri Association of Area Agencies on Aging, communities across the state are helping transform how Missourians experience retirement. Each site reflects the unique character of its city, while sharing one vision: connecting retirees with meaningful volunteer opportunities.
The Mission
Connecting Retirees. Strengthening Communities.
Give 5 bridges the gap between retirees seeking purpose and nonprofits in need of support. By dedicating just five hours a week, participants rediscover the joy of contribution while helping strengthen the places they call home.
We believe that experience is one of Missouri’s greatest resources—and when shared through volunteerism, it creates communities that are more connected, compassionate, and resilient.
