City's Give 5 program introduces retirees to nonprofit community

The bus pulled into the snow-covered parking lot at the American Red Cross of Southern Missouri headquarters last Wednesday. It was loaded with about 20 retirees — folks with skills, experience and educations — all looking to get involved with area nonprofits through the city's new Give 5 program. 

Greg Smith was among the first off the Give 5 bus. Smith, who retired three years ago, worked for the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway for more than four decades....
